Events Directory FAQ

Who can add events to the directory?

To add an event you must first register as a user on Best In Lincolnshire. You must also be a bona-fide business or represent a charitable or not-for profit organisation. You will have the opportunity to notify us of that status when you register. We will then ensure that your user account has sufficient rights to add your events to the directory.
Is there a charge for using the Events Directory?

The Events Directory is free to use for charities and not for profit organisations. We do, however, make a small charge for business wishing to publicise events, e.g. an entertainment evening at a public house. Our scale of charges is available to registered busnesses / event organisers after logging into Best In Lincolnshire.
How long will my event stay in the Directory?

Entries can be made at any time in advance of the date(s) of the event. They will automatically be removed 7 days after the event has finished. For rceurring events they remain in the directory until 7 days after the last in the series.
Why isn't my town or venue listed in the Directory

Your town will not show in the list of locations unless an event has been added for the town. When you add a new event you will be asked to choose from an extensive list of Lincolnshire towns and villages. Choose the one nearest to your event.
As the number of possible venues within Lincolnshire is vast we have not attempted to pre-enter a list for you to choose from. When you create an event directory entry you will have the opportunity to add details of the actual venue, including the address and postcode. It is important to ensure this is accurate as the information is used to create a Google Map to help visitors find the venue.
What types of events are listed in the Directory?
We have created a number of categories that events can be listed under:
- Car Boot, Table Top & Jumble Sales
- Seasonal Events (e.g. Fayres, Fetes, Carnivals & Galas)
- Music, Theatre & Concerts
- Family Entertainment
- Sporting
- Recreation & Leisure
- Community
- Church Events
- Open Days / Evenings
- Exhibitions & Shows
